Our Story
Founded in 2008 in response to the trauma left by conflict in northern Uganda , a model rooted in faith, community, and cultural sensitivity.

Born Out of Conflict
Founded in 2008 by Ruth and Benson Ocen, I Live Again Uganda was a direct response to the trauma left by the LRA insurgency in northern Uganda.
Trained by clinical psychologist Dr. Robi Sonderegger, Benson built a trauma care model rooted in faith, community, and cultural sensitivity , a model that continues to guide our work today.
Evolving for Global Impact

A Global Alliance for Healing
In 2025, we became the Global Mental Health Alliance , taking the proven DNA of I Live Again Uganda and applying it beyond borders.
Our commitment to restoring hope through faith-centred, trauma-informed care remains unchanged. We dream of a world where everyone has healing, hope, and identity.
