What We Do
Strengthening community-based mental health care so families can restore dignity, rebuild relationships, and create hopeful futures.

Healing Communities, Restoring Hope
Across northern Uganda and in nearby refugee settlements, many families continue to face the emotional scars of conflict, displacement, and hardship. Trauma, grief, and loss remain part of daily life , yet mental health resources are limited, and many people struggle without support.
By strengthening community-based mental health care and promoting healing through faith, connection, and practical support, we help individuals and families restore dignity, rebuild relationships, and create healthier, hopeful futures.

A Registered NGO Rooted in Community
Global Mental Health Alliance (formerly I Live Again Uganda) was founded in 2008 in response to post-conflict mental health needs in northern Uganda. We are a registered NGO with a mission to restore hope by providing culturally sensitive, Christ-centred psychosocial support for refugees and conflict-affected communities.
We work where we are most needed , in settlements, schools, churches, and homes , walking alongside people toward resilience and recovery.
